It is mentioned in psychological theories, people tend to distort the truth unconsciously to fit their situation. Some would view that as self-deception and a symbol of cowardice. But in my opinion, distorting the truth also holds the power of support and protection. “Distortion of____” is designed to show a positive impression created by distortion.

I see the similarity between styrofoam and absolute reality - both have the flexibility to be interpreted in so many different ways - that is why I chose this material to work on. Through the process of experimental twisting the essence of the material, I saw the value of twisting. Later I translate the twisted material into object makings to redefine their meanings of beings.
